The following meet regularly at the Science Museum:

Blue Ridge Beekeepers Association: Beekeepers meet to exchange information on the third Thursday of each month. State affiliated. Potential members are welcome. Call club president Harold Cassell at 540/384-6191 or e-mail BeeHvezzz@cs.com for more information.

Blue Ridge Wildflower Society: Our aim is to strengthen conservation efforts on behalf of Virginia's native and naturalized plants. Efforts are directed toward education, conservation, cultivation, and landscaping and habitat preservation. Meetings are the fourth Monday of February, March, May, September, October, and November at 7 pm. All events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise advertised. International Plastic Modelers Society, Roanoke Valley Chapter: Meetings are the second anvd fourth Thursdays of the month, 7-9 pm. Potential members are welcome.

Roanoke Camera Club: We're a group of photo enthusiasts sharing information. Meetings are the second Tuesday of the month at 7:15 pm. Potential members are welcome. For more information, contact Becky Blackwell at 540/366-9482.

Roanoke Valley Astronomical Society: Meetings are the third Monday of the month, 7:30 pm, Fifth Floor. You do not need a televscope to participate.

Roanoke Valley Mineral & Gem Society, Inc.: A non-profit organization promoting, through education and recreation, the study of mineralogy, crystallography, paleontology, geology and other allied earth sciences, as well as gemology and lapidary arts. Meetings are the second Thursday of each month, 7 pm. All are welcome. In addition, the club sponsors monthly field trips, an annual picnic and rock swap, and an annual mineral and gem show.
