The Science Museum of Western Virginia is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Roanoke, Virginia, on the fourth floor of the Center in the Square. Please visit the links on the left for all the information you will need to plan a successful visit!

Center in the Square meets the Americans with Disabilities Act Guidelines, and is wheelchair accessible. The first floor entrance to the Farmers' Market opens remotely. All floors in the five-story building are accessible by elevator and directly accessible from the Roanoke City Market Square Parking Garage adjacent to Center in the Square. The parking garage has handicapped parking spaces, ramps, and accessible doors on all levels. The building is smoke-free. Service dogs are allowed. The Museum's exhibit areas, Hopkins Planetarium and MegaDome Theater and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. The restrooms have lateral transfer from right and left. All ramps have firm and compacted surfaces. First Aid kits, emergency eyewashes and wheelchairs are on the premises. Per ADA standards, we have an area of rescue assistance.
